Chat Improvement - App Notifications for unread messages

We have tried using the chat feature to communicate team wide messages and individual messages. The notification method has not been sufficient to get attention. So, I go back to sending individual text messages or using Asana, another project management platform we have been using for years. Is there a plan for a more robust messaging platform in Fusion Ops? Where workers are notified on their device in the same way that text messages work?

I understand your feedback. Having general notifications would work if the tablet is used by a single worker, since when it is shared we cannot know who is using it and send the correct notification. Is this your case?

Thanks. Yes, I think all but one worker is using the worker screen mode.

But the Chat notification is just a small red dot at the top of their
screen and they don't see it. People are trained to get notifications on
their lock screens, like text messages. I think it would be great if we
could have that.

I've changed the idea title, to make it easier for other users to find it. I've also changed its status to "Gathering Support"
