Allow to generate a document for each sales order showing quantities shipped, to be shipped and total.

Allow to generate a document for each sales order showing quantities shipped, to be shipped and total.

Simple idea: after shipping some items on a sales order but not shipping complete, there should be an option to reprint that sales order afterwards showing what has shipped and what has not shipped.

When a partial order is shipped it may be weeks before the rest of the order is ready. I give the packing slip with the sales order to the accounting person so that we can invoice for what has shipped. Then I would like to print a new sales order clearly showing what has shipped and what is still to ship.

Hello @JasonW_

Thank you for this idea. This information can be consulted on the tablet and on a sales order report. Can you share more about why and in which moment this information is needed?

We also have multiple printed documents for sales orders, are you referring to any of them in particular? (such as packing slips, bills of lading, or the print action when editing the sales order)

I have used.
The 'Open: 1.00' indicates how many of each line is still to ship. For
instance, if the order quantity was 100 and I had shipped 40 then
reprinting the sales order would show an open quantity of 60. The order
quantity would stay the same but I could quickly reference the printed
sales order to know how many more I needed to ship.

Thank you for the additional details,  @JasonW_

Adding that information on the existing sales order pint may impact the usage of other customers that do not want that information to be displayed. My understanding is that you'd like to have a quick way to obtain a document showing the quantities shipped, to be shipped, and total ordered for a sales order - regardless of using an existing document or a new one, am I correct?

I've taken the initiative to edit the original posted idea that you posted to reflect this better.
