Why Does Hex Stock Show Up as Quare in Turning? File Attached

I have created a hex model for stock, but when I run Simulate to watch the machining it shows square stock.   Why?

edit:  I just tried relative round stock and it also shows up as square....

I found out my problem.   Under "Stock" in the simulate window I had Fast (3 axis) chosen under mode.    I'm not sure how that happened.   thank you

It does seem that the default view got set back to Fast -3 Axis-

However, it should now retain that setting and persist through sessions
