Viewcube intermittently stops working

Probably about at least once a day it'll stop working. Switching workspaces/Rotating/panning the camera a bunch usually gets it working again. Usually stops working for a few seconds, other times like right now it's just 30 minutes later and it still won't work.

 

I can click on it all day it won't change my view:

 

Restarting almost always makes it work again but I don't think 100% of the time.

I just did the most recent forced update and my view cube no longer works.  Frustrating to say the least.

After sitting idle for several minutes it started working again
