Any ideas what to do here?
I submitted this to support, but haven't heard back. This is really crippling to operations.
I've been having this problem as well, glad to see it's not just me. Did they give you a case number or anything? I assume you went through the support.fusion360@autodesk.com email?
@paul.clauss or @innovatenate, is this anything you can look into and see if more examples or information is needed?
They haven't replied.
I am trying to up the heat a bit. This ought to be fixed fairly soon it seems.

I have found the best workaround is to us the Alt+selection for your first section in the chain and then edit that open contour.
Edit: @jeff.pek any news or information on this one? It's pretty easily repeatable.
Thanks for reporting this. It is indeed a regression that unfortunately slipped through our testing.
We have logged the problem as ticket CAM-6813.
We have also fixed the issue and will push the fix into the next possible Fusion update.

@Anonymous If there was a basic version system, like beta, stable, bleeding, feeble, etc, I could go to my Preferences, click Feeble, and have a working tool until the next release.
I agree, that would be great. We're working with the delivery folks to try to establish something along those lines. Will take time, of course...

You have a working tool. ALT+select.
Just because it's not how your accustomed to doing it doesn't mean it's not valid.

I actually like it, I didn't know about it previously.
It's certainly one of those hidden gems.
Honestly I use Alt+select just to start some chains because it begins as an open chain instead of having to change the selection type in the popup menu. Saves a click and my left hand is always on the keyboard anyway (no 3D mouse here ).
Thanks Steinworks - I had no idea you could hold Alt to select partial contours - this bug had seriously affected my ability to make 2D contour paths properly...
This will be fixed in our April 12 update!
Hi @Anonymous I just checked in the latest Fusion, and I'm not seeing a problem.
Maybe you have encountered a different problem, or a problem that's related to a specific part or type of geometry.
To help we need a bit more information and preferably an example file or screen recording.

Oh, and maybe post to a new thread. This one is three years old, and it doesn't look like it is the same problem 🙂
