Trouble clearing small areas (Adpative and Pocket clearing not working)

Not applicable

Hi everyone! I'm having trouble clearing small areas in my design, and can't figure out why (I've researched similar issues, but the answers weren't useful and I don't understand why).  It's a small kind of microscope, split in two parts to then assemble.  For some reason, I clear one half of it using 3d adaptive clearing and then parallel to smooth it out, but when I try to do the same with the other half (duplicating the toolpath and changing the machining boundry in geometry settings), I would get either en empty toolpath, or the generation process would get stuck at a certain percent (I've seen this happen to other people before, but the solutions given to them didn't work out for me).  I even tried using Pocket clearing instead, but still would get an empty toolpath.

Besides the frustrating part of not being able to find the issue, I can't understand why the same toolpath would work on one half and not the other...

Here's my design: https://a360.co/35PeJ82

PS: I also tried modifying the minimum cutting radius in passes, the smoothing feature, and using a smaller tool. Still no succes...  It might end up being something really simple, I have little experience with Fusion.

Hey Felipe,

So I do not have a quick fix.

However what I have done is duplicate all the tool-path's you made in the group called 'Superior' folder.
Moved them over the to 'Inferior' group and then changed the boundary selection to which one is appropriate.

I can not nail down what the issue is, however this seems to be a fix for now, I will continue looking at this project and forward it onto our developers if this is a bug.

Thanks for reporting this, we really appreciate these types of issues. 🙂

Thanks

Sam
