Trace on Sketches?

Hello - I'm trying to use sketches as toolpaths using the trace command. I want my bit to cut dados out along those sketches a depth of X. However, when I set my axial in the passes tab it only seems to hover over the stock. Any ideas?

What you're seeing is the model and Simulation model existing in the same space and obscuring what's actually going on. If you turn off Model display while in Simulation, you'll get this:
