Tools disappear after update?

So, Fusion automatically updated on me here a while back. It used to have end mills of every size in the library...all the way down to 0.001". Now it only has end mills down to 1/16". I need to machine a part out of 17-7PH SS with a 0.020" end mill, but the option is no longer there. The tabs to import tools are grayed out and are not selectable. Any tips?

As far as I can recall, the endmills always went down to 1/16". Good news is you can easily create a new tool.

To import tools, open up the manager and select the library you want to import into. The buttons become active at that point.

I've made a screencast, but it takes a while to upload. I'll edit this reply when it does.

Thanks for the reply!
Interesting....When I open the library to the left (where you selected and the icons at the top became active), I only have four choices, library, vendors, samples, documents. I can't select any of them, and clicking them doesn't activate the icons.

PC or Mac? To create tool, you have to first select the Active Document, as shown in the video

Gravy.

I just finished a job in 304SS with 2x .025" 2 flt Harvey endmills. Indicate your tools within a tenth or two. Start at the shank near the collet and then again at the cutting edge. Careful not to chip the tool. Back off the indicator (tenth indicator preferred) and lightly tap the collet nut in the direction you need it to go. You would want to place your index finger on the backside of the tool so as not to shock it from the tap.

Those tools lasted all 60 parts, and they did a fair amount of work, to boot

That's pretty impressive! I only needed to do 3 parts...2 are done and the third is running now. The first two went well. I roughed them in with a 0.0535" end mill then took 0.001" finish cuts with the 0.020" end mill at 1in/min. So far so good! How much were you cutting at a time, and what feed rate?
