Hello everyone, I'm relatively new to CNCing and very new to Fusion360 CAM. I'm running into a problem with the attached file, where LinuxCNC tells me that the X Axis exceeds the limit of the machine. This isn't true based on the dimensions of my file (it's 48" in the X direction, and the machine's limit is 52". Plus i've run other files that were in the 50" range), so I'm curious if it has something to do with an aspect of the programming? It seems like remodeling my piece and making it shorter isn't helping. Any insight is appreciated!

If not sure what post you are using or how your are setting your work offset. But if you are outputting to G54, I suggest going to X0 Y0 using that co-ordinate system and move in the positive direction in the X to see how much travel you have. Looking at the code, the further value that is output is X48.3947
If you have 52" of travel in the X axis, then something else is going on. In my mind, your part UCS should be on the far left side of the table.

Hi Christopher, thanks for the reply! I'm such a beginner that what you wrote took a bit to understand, but yes I'm outputting to G54 when I touch off the Axis. Here's a photo of my screen when the bit is in the correct touch-off points, and a photo of my piece. The X is positioned to the furthest left it could possibly be. The other day I machined a piece that went all the way up to 51".
By "setting work offset" do you mean how i'm marking the stock point in Fusion?
Hi again, I actually just found out what the problem was- I noticed that in f360 the stock was set to the dimensions of the pocket I was clearing, and not the stock. So I thought instead of positioning the bit to the farthest left point it could possible go, I moved it to the right an inch. This solved it! I guess the machine needs a bit of space in-between X0 and the cut.

Great to hear. I just looked at your file again and did notice the stock issue.
I also noticed that the toolpath you chose is a 3d toolpath. Usually reserved to milling faces with contour. I suggest using a 2d countour or maybe a slot.
