Tool Library Questions

When we open the Tool Library dialog, we have noticed, on occasion, that certain tools do not show their associated ops. If we try to delete them, we receive a warning dialog that they are associated with an op along with the op name. If we cancel the deletion we still see the tool listed without its assocaited op. Has anyone else seen this? This is on a Win7 64b machine with the latest version of Fusion (1593).

When you open the Tool Library dialog there is an arrow that indicates the sort order in the Name column, let's say from first to last. If we click on the arrow, the sort order reverses as expected (last to first). If you then renumber the tools, they don't renumber since the order of operations has not changed, but they do resort back to first to last. The problem, and admittedly a trivial one, is that the sort arrow no longer agrees with the tool sort. This popped up as more of an issue when we had multiple CAM documents open and tools kept resortting as we switched from one document to another. Thought someone might like to add it to the punch list for small tool library problems.

Lastly, thanks for all the improvements in the recent upgrades re: tool numbering, using tools from other documents, tool creation from tool choice dialog, etc. ....much appreciated. And, sorry if any of the above has been mentioned earlier, but couldn't find any references via search. Thanks.

Thanks Fred,

We have both issues registered in our issue system.

CAM-2396 Tool Library : Fix for showing document operations in document tool libraries, with more than 10 tools. (fixed)

Trust the dialog with the warning about the tool being used in an operation, until the fix shows up on your end.

CAM-2229 Sort order not consistent with column sort order arrow.

We appreciate your feedback!

Kind regards,

Peter
