Slow movements in 3D Paralell strategy

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi!

Im having troubles in finishing a surface with a CNC. Using a ball end bit and 90 degrees rotated 3d parelell strategy, at some areas, it moves slow.

The cutting feed rate is 3200mm/min but at this areas fall down to 400mm/min. Its a curved surface all along, I dont saw anything at this particular areas that could explain this behavior.

Simulating the process seems to work ok, but in mach3 the toolpath shows this areas in light purple colour.

The gcode has 13.000 lines. The surface is milled as expected but the machining time is 3 times the simulated one.

There is only one F code in tap file set to 3200mm/min

Any ideas?

Can you share your Fusion file or the posted code here? If it's a .tap file, assign an extension of .nc or .txt to it.

For the Fusion file: File > Export > Save to local folder. Return to thread and attach the .f3d file in your reply

According to the NC code, it only contains one feedrate of F3194. nothing more, nothing less. I see you're working with a Personal License. I don't know if you're aware, but rapid moves were disabled for Personal users. You can read about that more HERE
