I am working with an engraving that uses splines and my trace operation is machining the tangent handles of those splines. It seems obvious that the tangent handles are there only to control the splines (as per the name) and should not be selectable for machining (at least not automatically). This seems like a bug.
Repro Steps:
Expected Result: Only the splines are selected.
Actual Result: Splines and tangent handles are selected.
Does anyone know a workaround for this?

I can reproduce this with Fit Point splines. Any edited handles end up selected!
@synthcRLF48 Only workaround I can come up with is project the sketch into another sketch, the projected splines don't have the handles. PS. Would be helpful to create a dummy file to show the problem.
@seth.madore I've attached a simple design one opusing original edited splines and one using projected.
Selection of the projected splines.

@seth.madore I've come across the problem of construction geometry bing selected before. Might be a good idea to have an option to ignore construction line on the Sketch profiles dialog.

The issue with the construction lines and Control Point Splines was reported in Nov. of 22', CAM-41377.
I've added this thread to the ticket as well.
