Simulation - tool is out of position

Hello,

I have issue with tool while I am simulating my NC program, it goes under manufacturing part and just stands there without moving, while "dot" is doing simulation.

This happend today first time, and I couldnt fix it, tried restarting both Fusion 360 and PC, dont know is there any command inside which I mistakenly clicked... I downloaded new update yesterday.

If there is someone who can help me with this I would appreciate. I will provide screen cast of my problem.

Thanks, Darko.

Much better if you upload your file for inspection and testing.

File > Export > Select f3d format > Save to a location on your computer > Then attach to your reply

Does unchecking machine on the simulation dialog change anything?

I wasn't active at weekend and today is same thing, nothing changed. I have tried unchecking machine, it doesn't do anything.

File is uploaded.

Unless I am missing something but it looks like you have uploaded a different file than the one in your Screencast, which by the way does seem to work OK.

Yes, I've uploaded different one by mistake, but this problem occurs on every part I modeled recently... I uploaded now the right one which I used in screencast.

And I uploaded new screencast with part from today.

I have opened and run your file and it works correctly here, see image below and Screencast Link.

I suspect that you need to reset/re-configure your Machine Simulation as that would appear to be the problem, try going to your Setups and turning off the Machine Selection as Mark @HughesTooling  suggested and see if the program will then simulate OK.

Do you have the "Update Automatically Posts and Machines" turned on in your Preferences ?

Reason for asking is that when Posts and Machines are updated usually any edits/mods/setups that the user has made are overwritten and go back to the Default plus the updates, worth checking that and if you have made modifications then try turning that off in your Preferences.

After deselecting machine in setup, simulation goes well. But I need machine to be selected to postprocess as it is configured. I did turn off "Update Automatically Posts and Machines" which I think is now called "Automatically get latest Posts and Machines". But it didnt help at all, after restarting Fusion360 and selecting machine, again same. I am not sure how to configure machine simulation, when it appear that same machine (which is located on cloud) work fine on other Fusion360 account used by my colleague. Deselecting machine --> doing simulation --> selecting machine--> postprocessing is one solution, but that is not a way it should go.

Thanks @HughesTooling  for telling me to turn off machine in simulation, I thought something else, that's why it didn't work! 🙂

If that is the case and the program works correctly on on other computers then it will be the way you have it setup on your particular computer.

How have the others setup their Machine Simulations ??

Have you managed to sort your VF2 Machine simulation ? It works fine here, I downloaded the latest VF2 Machine from the Fusion Machine Library, loaded it to a Local directory and I did not make any changes to the specifications, nor did I need to make any changes to the Setup, I left it as the Default settings, as you can see in the image below it worked OK. I have also attached the full f3z file that I hope will work at your end, also here is a link to a Screencast showing it working.

Glad to hear that you have it working OK again.

Very strange for it to just come back like that but if all is good then it doesn`t matter !!
