Saving Settings

Hi

What I'd like to do is set my max spindle RPM, and have the tools not exceed that limit. I have to tweak every toolpath by hand now, unless I save custom tools to my library.

Is there an option that will let me do this?

Do I have to create a machine specific library?

Also, How do I save and use as default, settings like Clearance Height, Retract Height and Feed Height?

I like my clearance height to be exactly 1" from the stock, so my operators can single block and verify their tool offset with a 1-2-3 block.

Thanks

John

I believe a tool Library is what you want to do for the first part, and set up the RPM in that, as for a hard limit on a file, I don't think that is possible.

For the second part, you should look into templates, I believe you can have them as simple as saving the heights for you. (They can save and do a lot more than this, so anything you find yourself repetitively doing you can do that way.)

Cheers,

Anthony
