I've looked through countless post processors for Okuma Mill Turn so I can mill in C - Axis both horizontally and vertically but can only use one post successfully for each function.
For example, I have attached a post processor for using a horizontal end mill to create a hex on the face of a part but if I wanted to use that same processor for a vertical end mill, it produces an error when posting out. Similarly, I have a successful post-processor for vertical end milling but this can't be used when using the horizontal end mill. I also wrap the part like in 4th axis for the vertical end milling.
My query is:
Has anyone successfully created a post processor to facilitate both horizontal and vertical mill-turning or do I have to create two separate programs and then copy, paste and edit into one program?
I have tried many variations of disabling y-axis, wrapping, etc from the forums here in Fusion but can't seem to have one post-processor to handle both tasks.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
I am using OSP 200 for a LB3000 Space Turn and OSP 300 for a Genos Mill Turn.
The screenshot of the attached f3d file is just a simple task I want for my students to practice on.
The hex will be milled using a horizontal end mill.
The slots are to be vertically milled.
