Not machined like CAM simulated - help please

Hi all.

Please see file attached. Trying to make this part on a mill/turn with 3" shaft. Part was supposed to machine to 1" thick and then machine out the "V". Last facing operation stopped when the part was still 1.30" and broke the endmill as it was advancing to position for last operation, can anyone tell me how this can be programmed to work like its supposed to? Or tell me what I did wrong?

@jeph00

Have you tried a 2D Contour using Multiple passes and a Zig Zag profile, easier on the tool and starts off the end??

Try the attached file, just an idea, you can clean it up to suit machine 🙂

Stay Safe

Regards

Rob

Thank you, that will definitely be easier on the tool.

But the reason I posted this, is because after the last Face operation (titled Face5 in browser) the plate is not machined to 1" like it should be, its still 1.300. Thought maybe the endmill on the machine was moving in and causing that but not the case. Can you see something wrong with how I programmed it?
