newbie fadal post issues please help

im using the fadal post below it seems to work okay it just will not set the right spindle oriantation if any one has some insight or has a post that they will share that works  it would be greatly appreciated Thanks Adam

 

machine is 3016 fadal 1998

What do you mean by spindle orientation? Tool orientation? We have a '97 VMC2216 and there is no spindle orientation function (beyond M19 for say a tool change) on ours or any that I'm aware of.

If you need an M19 output somewhere that's different.

What error do you get when you post a program?

Thanks for the fast reply you are correct after reading others post the m19 is what we needed for the tool change so the post is runnung great the second problem were having is at the end of a simple drilling program the drill will stay at 0 and we need it to retract 1.5 to clear another portion of the part any advise would be greatly appreciated Thanks Adam

I have them set at 1.00 and it will bring the tool down to the o position and move across the part and at the end of the cycle it brings the tool back to the zero position and moves back to xoyo

here is a copy of the practice program im running and the post normally at the end of the program it will move to the z home position and x0y0 im not sure if this is a post issue or a program issue Thanks Adam

Well here's a big problem:

 

N60 G90 G0 X2.1057 Y-1.2316
N65 G43 Z0.6 H0
N70 Z0.2
N75 Z0.1375
N80 G1 Z0.1 F14.56

You're not using any tool offsets, and I assume you're using the E offset for Z? As long as E1 is the work offset everything will go there until either a G28 line or E0 line.

 

Are you running Format 1 or 2? I would suspect 1 due to the E offset usage.

good morning here is a simple program that works great that is written with mastercam I would like to get a 360 post that will output in this format if at all possible I will pay for this setup we love the 360 software we just need to get a post that works for our machine Thanks Adam

Before we go and have the post changed can we see the part you’re trying to cut? It could be that you have a setting wrong to get the output you’re looking for.

here is a marked up nc file that i hand modified that works the way I would like the g43 h tool number etc Thanks again for the help

What I found is that you have your length and diameter offsets set to 0.

When I set them to 3 (to match the tool number) I get the output below. Please try setting the length number post in format 2 and see if it runs.
