Multiple parts in a Jig, How to model stock

I have 4 identical parts in a jig to be machined,  How do i model each part to be the actual stock size?

Currently i have the stock as single rectangular block covering all parts.  I need them to be as individual Cylindrical parts.  Do-able?

If all your parts ar the same then the simple example attached will do it for you, just create your part and use the rectangular pattern facility to place the part in the positions you want, now create another solid for the stock the size and shape you want and do the same pattern and you should have something like the image below, if this is what you are looking for then try out the attached file and look at the History/Timeline for how it was done.

If you have different parts for different locations then you will have the use the "Move/Copy" facility to place them where you want them and the same for the stock body.

If this is not what you mean then please upload a file of your own for inspection/modification, if not sure how to do this then go to:-

File > Export > Select f3d format > Save to a location on your computer > Then attach it to your next reply.

Hi @kretallick144,

Depending on the complexity, you can make the solid model in the design space, and then on your setup dialog in the stock tab. Select "from body".

Have attached a file of the assembly.

The circle on the the squared off body edge is the  starting stock Diameter, It extends to the rear of the square section.

I'd make a body or another component of your stock material like so...

Import that into the model and overlay it with your actual model.

Then in the manufacture workspace go to the setup and the stock tab then select the mode as "from solid" here you can select each body as the stock.
