Mach3 Post Processor, Probe Feed Rate

Hi, here is an example of some Gcode:

N10 G90
N15 G71

(2D Profile1)
N20 G0 X-43.722 Y-24.879
N25 G31 Z-100. F5219.2(probe command)
N30 G92 Z0.
N35 G0 Z15 (retract height)
N40 G0 Z3.8(pierce height)

the PP is specifying the feed rate @F5219.2 during the probe command (this is the cutting speed for the plasma / material thickness) at this speed it is traveling to fast for the Z to stop when the ohmic sensor detects the top of material.

Any ideas on how I can specify the probe Feed rate independent of the cutting speed ?

Thanks

I have come to find that the

Leed-In Feed-rate

located in the Tool Feed-rates affects the specified Probe feed rate, I will experiment with how slow I can set that federate for leed-in and still have acceptable entry points for plasma cutting.

I have virtually the same question (posted here: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-support/2d-plasma-cutting-setting-probe-feed-rate-independ...)

Did you ever find out how to set the probe and lead-in feed rates independent of each other?

Thanks in advance

Sure. They're in the post I linked to. If you'd look that over too, I'd appreciate it. Sure would be a help in streamlining the process.

I'll post the screenshots here, as well

Thanks for the reply

Hi,

Reading this you could probably just add a user parameter for your probing speed. Could you attach your post and F3D file.

I will happily take a look at this for you, I work mainly on the Milling probing but would be interested to know how you use probing for Laser/plasma/water.

I've tried posting the ".tap" file, but it won't seem to let me. Is there a way to do this that I'm not catching?

The G-Code for it (as I'm sure you can tell) is posted above, if that helps. Here's the public link to my F3D file: https://a360.co/33ybu3x

Not sure if it'll work, or not. I haven't tried it until now. It's just a simple line test.

If you want to take a look at my recent post (I have virtually the same question), it's here: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-support/2d-plasma-cutting-setting-probe-feed-rate-independ...

I have a couple of pictures attached there that detail what the issue is.

Thanks for your response and I appreciate the potential help.

To post a G code change it to a .txt or stick it in a zip file and attach that.

Attaching a model To do this Go to File -> Export and save as a .F3D Archive File and attach it to your next post, or if an f3dz See this article for how to export a F3Dz file https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-t...

For pictures, you use the insert photo icon to the right of the smiley faces above.

Figured I was missing something. Thank you. Here's all the info I can think to give. Anything else you need, just let me know. I'll give as much information as I can.

I've attached the .f3d file and g-code .txt file. Also, I'm using Mach3 to run my table. I've attached my current configuration file, as well (if it helps).

Here are the pictures from my recent post:

gcode.JPG

I would like the Lead-In Feedrate to match the Cutting Feedrate on output from the post processor.

feedrates.JPG

As of now, setting the "Lead-In Feedrate" sets both the probe and lead-in as one feedrate.

I know I can manually edit the G-Code to the rates I want, but I'm hoping there is a way to do this automatically.

@Anonymous  @malmquistm  do you have a feed amount you would like for the probing I can hard set it to a value.

@malmquistm  @Anonymous  Right I added a user property of probe feed you use this to set the probe feed rate, It seems to be working fine for me.
