I can't understand how machine this very simple peace

Hi all please excuse me for maybe a stupid question but I can't really understand how to machine this.

I tried mainly 3d adaptive clearing but no matter what I select I always receive empty toolpath error.

I found this topic that basically asks for the same thing but I can't understand the answers well

Can someone point me in the right direction?
