Finish Face Grooving with Left Handed Tool in Sub Spindle

I am currently trying to finish a face groove in my sub spindle with a left handed tool and cannot get a path to generate. I have already roughed with a left handed grooving tool and just want to finish the groove. I can get the finish to work with a right handed tool by turning the spindle backwards but as soon as I switch the tool to left handed it will not generate. I get an empty cutting area error.

This should be the latest. It currently has a right handed tool in it and generates the toolpath.
