Hello,
I am working on convincing my current shop to switch from GibbsCAM over to Fusion360. I have everyone on board with this, with the exception of one big holdback.
We have many toolroom lathes, that are running a Dynapath Delta2000 control. I cant seem to find anything myself, and was curious if there is a post for Delta2000 Turning in the works, or if I need to write my own, etc..
This is the only thing preventing the shop from switching, and I am really hoping that someone has a solution.
Thanks,
Scott
Doing a search, I'm not seeing a post for that control. Do you have a sample program we could look at to determine what would be involved in modifying a post to work?
Hello,
Thanks for the quick response. It uses a combination of various ISO format and Dynapath Conversational. Here are a couple of samples, with notes in the code to describe what it is doing.
This program faces one side, stop, flip part and face opposite side.

Hello,
For quick onesie twosies, yes. It is easy to just do something very quickly. But for the CAM part, no.
We currently have a working post for GibbCAM and it will post in point to point locations. We have enough memory on the machine and the work that is done on it we do not ever worry about file size. I would love nothing more than to ditch GibbsCAM for Fusion360.
This is why we still use mastercam as well. Support seems to lack from autodesk unless its cookie cutter stuff.
If they want to take over the market they need to improve in this area.
With "the market" being very much dominated by Haas, Fanuc, Siemens, Hurco and many other top tier controls, I'd say that Autodesk is well on their way to making a big dent in the market.
Your best bet for the Dynapath control is going to be to find a Reseller that can make a post for you. It's likely not going to be cheap, but it will be done right.
