Hi,
I want to build a new CAM-PC and want to know what my options are. I have read on the forums about Intel as a preferred cpu and different discussions about how many cores Fusion 360 actually use.
I can't seem to find this information anywhere from official Autodesk sources. So I want to try my luck here.
How much does my graphics card do for the CAM process?
Which CPU should I use for an optimal experience with no lag/freezes and super fast toolpath generation?
How many cores should my CPU have?
When are the multiple cores used, is it a setting?
Does 64-bit Windows 10 give an advantage?
With HSM-CAM there is an option for Distributed CAM, is that available for Fusion 360?
If YES, how does it work and what do I need?
I hope that I can get some offical answers. I don't fancy buying a monster CPU and then Fusion 360 doesn't even utilize it.
Looking forward to some feedback.
Hi
Thanks for posting. We have a manufacture forum for fusion 360 which has a lot of resources for Cam and Cnc. @seth.madore will move your post there when he'll be available.
Stay Safe.
God Bless.
