Additive post result problem with “Generate G2/G3”

Hello,

I have a problem for additive post result with arc motion (G2/G3).

I try to generate the g-code of following part (just cylinder for testing).

Also I checked “Generate G2/G3” in print setting.

But G2/G3 movement is not contained in posted g-code as attached.

Does anyone know the reason why this is ?

I also tried this the other day... Posted out program and went through it, not a single g2/g3 in it lol!

I've sent this thread into the Post Processor team. The logic appears to be present in the Prusa .cps file, but it's not making it's way to the code. Conversely, the Ultimaker post (for example), DOES post out the G2/3 moves

I've opened up CAM-36461 to investigate this issue

Thank you for your reply.

I tried again with some post (including Ultimaker), but the result is same.

There is no G2/G3 move in posted g-code.

Hello @tkoba1974 ,

I have some questions.
Are you using an older print setting, or are you using one provided with the latest release?
Can you share a picture from the tesselation tab in the print settings, please?

Hello,

Thank you for your reply.

The Tessellation setting is as follows.

It is latest default setting.

I have been having the same issues ever since one of the later fusion updates (around a month ago). Has anyone made any progress on this? Or at least confirmed if it is a Fusion issue, or is it a post processor issue?

Hello @ajosten ,

Hi @ajosten ,

this is not a post issue.

We have QA tests with CLData files created last year, and the posts are still generating arcs.

The problem lie either in the print settings or in Fusion.

For example, depending on the tesselation settings, arc output can be prevented, if it set to low.

You must be on a medium to high setting.

You must ensure that the arc check box is checked. (this setting is sometime lost when reopening the file).

Currently my tests are failing, as Fusion is not outputting arcs in the CL data file.

Regards
