I'm having trouble finding a way to mill the flats and necked area toward the bottom of this part. I am using a slot cutter and I have the tool geometry with the reduced shank modeled correctly (0.250" cutter diameter, 0.125" shank diameter). The tool can physically reach all of the part without a shaft collision, but I can't get a toolpath to follow the undercut features. Any workarounds would be greatly appreciated!
Which strategy have you used here? Because I've got this to work in the past with undercut geometry. If you export and upload your f3d file here I can take a look.

Due to the number of leads I assume it's the ramp strategy.
But I know that 3D Contour should look for undercuts and ramp doesn't.

Both Contour and Ramp should work.
