3/4 inch threads

My boss has started a new project and hasn't fully thought it out before he bought the materials and tooling for it. He bought 3/4 inch brass tubing to be threaded that is 0.03 inches thick walls and I can't find a that fits it on fusion. They either are to large or cut all the way through. And suggestions on how to set up the proper threads?

You're looking for a thread size that fits inside of those parameters?

.03" wall is terribly thin and if you machine a fine pitch thread on it (3/4-32 for example) that would only leave you a wall of .008" or so. Not a lot of strength there, could likely snap it off with your hands if you're moderately capable.

What is the application, is this even safe to do?

How about something foolish like an M19x0.5 or something? Why does THIS piece of material need to be used, and if so, for WHAT?

It's for a decorative shelf of sorts and I'm pretty sure it won't support the weight but I would like to find some options to test and show my boss how well it works.

He already bought a fair bit of this tubing and I didn't want to tell him it's useless without trying to work shop it.

Try using a UNJ thread profile. The truncation of the thread crest will help give you as much wall thickness as possible.

You can also try press fitting in something thats .69" into the ID and then being able to thread the solid portion.

What will the tube be threaded into? An existing threaded hole?
