2D Contour Lead in Position

Just spent 5 mins guessing at where to put the lead in position to get it where I want it.

If I select lead in position fusion sets the lead in position selected as the  exit position.

If I select the lead out position fusion sets the lead out position as the exit position.

Seems like this is and easy fix.....and yes I have tabs enabled.

Feels like sloppy coding.....who knows

See attached file see if you can chase the lead out position to get the lead in position.

set up binding top 2d contour16 and 2d contour 16(2)

Oh well file export is not working.....and yes I am working online???? opa closed all projects lost sometime but got an export?

You have Ramp turned on. Depending on the setting of Ramp and your Heights, this can change the start point. Furthermore, it's been renamed to "Preferred Entry Point", as it is not always possible to force an entry at that point.

If we work thru the simulation, we can see that it makes first contact here:

The issue you are fighting is that you are setting the entry point for the actual cutting contour, not the ramping contour.
This makes that the exit point is where you expect the entry point to be because with a closed contour, the entry and exit will be very close to each other when you don't have ramping turned on.
Currently there is no way to force the ramps starting point.
