I have a 3 axis machine that is equipped with a rotary axis, but it is not a true 4 axis machine as I have wired in a relay that allows me to replace the x axis with the rotary axis. I then have to change my scale factor for the x axis so that it matches with the rotary piece on cut. In essence, when I am using the rotary axis, my code is still output as X and it is still in inches, not degrees.
My question is: if I use the rotary or wrapping toolpaths in fusion 360 and I have a working post for fusion, will the post output the code in inches as opposed to degrees, or is the software only capable of outputting the code in true 4 axis fashion?
