this has been increasingly happening last few months. Just FYI but if you hold-click, it'll display a list of everything there.

Yup. Been doing that constantly over the past 5 years. Ridiculous. Haven't noticed it get any worse at all though.

Try changing your selection filters and uncheck "Select through"
