Why is fusion designating local folders it is creating as "hidden"?

When I post my CNC programs to a local folder that does not already exist they are hidden. Why is this and is there a way to stop it?

Hidden Files and Folders is an operating system setting to my best understanding. You can enable the visibility of hidden files and folders in Windows, perhaps this would resolve the issue?

What operating system are you using?

Since the folder names surely don't begin with a "." in their name,

I suppose it is some version of Windows and you are complaining that Fusion360 sets the "hidden" flag when creating these folders.

Is this assumption correct?

The given answer on how to make files and folders with the hidden flag visible anyway is of cause of limited help in that case.

They should not have the hidden flag set on creation in the first place (FlagFILE_ATTRIBUTE_HIDDEN=0x02).

Which folder are you referring to, specifically?

Windows, for some reason, marks the "APPDATA" folders -- e.g., %localappdata% -- as read-only. You can still see the files, but you can't navigate to them in Explorer unless you turn on the Show Hidden Files option. Fusion is not doing anything special in this regard.

I'm sure you mean %localappdata% to be hidden as it would certainly not be read-only.

Fusion360 has nothing to do with "%localappdata%" ="%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local" itself being hidden.

Like all programs it is only responsible for the individual folders you have it create. Not about parent-folders.

Yes of course I can show all hidden files but it does no service to have them hidden in the first place. I don't want to see hidden files on my desktop or file folders.

I'm running Windows 7 pro and I'm saving the posted files to a shared network drive so that I can RS232 them from another terminal. This may be a glitch that I was experiencing. It has not done this every time. Yesterday it had done it a few times.
