as discovered in https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-manufacture/how-can-one-move-in-manufacture/m-p/13044887#M1636...

there seems to be TWO measure tools, with the same icon but different functions....
"I" will call up the measure from design

programming2C78B_0-1727283906958.png

and the icon inside the MFG workspace brings up A DIFFERENT measure tool!

and when you change the shortcut in the MFG, it recognizes there's two tools with the same name....

If I change the I shortcut to be the "mfg measure", nothing happens when trying to call it up inside the design workspace!

Yes, there are 2. The one in MFG has some additional options in it. I can report this, to see if we can find a way to be able to use a single hotkey, which could, then, bring up the appropriate version depending on the workspace.

Yes some automatic detection would be great, or at minimum share the hotkey since the MFG one has so much more information.

Wow I had no idea there was a more advanced measure tool in the mfg workspace. I would love if the i hotkey detected what space you are in and picks the tool accordingly.

Definitely another reason this needs fixed

Most people, unless they read the "Whats new" for that Fusion release back in 2022 will have no idea that there is extra functionality in the Manufacture Measure and most people use the "I" key to bring up measure so they will never find it.

And if you really want to scramble your cookies, in the manufacturing workspace press "I" for measure. Then go up to the toolbar across the top of the screen and click on the measure icon in the toolbar. On my setup, I still see the two different Measure Dialogs depending on which route I call the dialog

Keyboard shortcut "I" dialog:

Toolbar mouse click measure:
