Which 2d option to use?

I'm trying to recess this shape 1mm down, but I don't know which 2d cam option to use! 

If I use trace the tool goes in the line, not following inside of the path 

I can't use engrace because it has to be closed shaped

(This shape are 2 seperate lines, not connecet. aka. one line was drawn and then offset was used)

On the Passes tab (for Trace), you will find options of what side of the contour to cut on. Make sure your lead-in/out is turned off

You can also use 2d Contour, also turning off the lead-in/out. You will need to set your compensation to "Computer"
