When creating a new tool T# changes but the H# does not?

Hello Forum.

So, I am pressing on with my education on Fusion. When I create a new tool, the G code shows the correct tool number. For example T7 but it does not show H7 for the tool height? I have to change it by hand in the G Code editor on my Tormach before I start running the G-code. Itis not a big deal but one day I am going to forget and there is going to be a problem!

Any ideas?

Make sure the tool offset numbers match in the project's Tool Library. And you'll probably want to check the library where you're pulling from as well.

As Steinwerks said, the Length offset value is what is pulled for the H parameter while the Number is used for the T parameter.  You'll need to make them match on the <Post Processor> tab if that's what you want.

Thanks for this help. I did try setting the tool H value to match the tool #, but when I run my post it the H # reverts back to 1? So I have to remeber to change it by hand in the code before I try running the code on my mill?

Did you update the tools in your document too or just the library?  It may not have picked up the edits...

There should be no reason to need to hand edit - especially for something like this.
