Using Fusion 360 for Turning

I downloaded the trial version of Fusion 360, but I don't see any mention of Turning for Manufacturing.

I'm not having very good luck with new product support from Autodesk.

Not sure if I need additional software to program cutter paths for CNC Lathes, and to be able to post process for the machine controllers.

You should have a turning tab in the manufacture work space.

OK, Thanks. I was able to find the Manufacture, Turning, and open a part file.

But, now I'm on to selecting a tool, and the Fusion Library is empty. Do I need to create all the holders and inserts from scratch?

We should have a starter library for you to work with, but you might need to right click on the library and turn it on

Long time ago when I setup Fusion turning tools but it does look like there are some examples in the library.

Hi @markKM8CP, you are in a Cutting Tools library and your filters are on showing only turning tools, but that library doesn't contain any turning tools, so it appears empty. Try the "Turning Tools" (inch or metric) options at the bottom of the list

If you want to see what tools are in the Cutting Tools libraries, you can clear your filters on the right-hand side.

We are actively thinking about how to make this experience more clear btw, will share this example with the team 🙂
