Not sure if this is intended, a bug, or even considered but I have both of these in the same setup for testing my post processor:

the only change is M3 has spindles rotating.

When I post out M5 in its own file everything is perfect

When I post out M3 in its own file , the Z locations are wrong because they've been effected by the compensation set by the preceding M5 cycles that WERE NOT POSTED.

I finally clued in and was able to get a correct M3 when I put it before the M5 in my setup folder.

In regards to the Z values being off; this would be expected if you have "Compensate Values" enabled, I would think 🤔

Yeah, I understand that this morning but should there be compensation applied from a toolpath that isnt being posted?

I understand that if I did Rest machining and dont post the roughing that the REST path is still posting out the same, but it "feels" different to me when everything says that fusion does nothing for these cycles and its all handled by the post processor.
