Turning Confinement

How would I go about confining the tool to prevent it from machining past the face in the attached image.  I have selected the face where I would like the tool to stop turning in the z axis.  The generated tool path extends past this face and cuts the chamfer on the part.

I think when I've had this problem I needed to set the back offset to minus the tool radius.

Thanks, I have done that before also but is seems as though that it really goes against the idea of confinement.  I could see allowing the Lead in and Lead out parameters to violate the confinement.  But the confinemt IMO should define what the tool sees for geomety to machine.  It should not really look beyond that face for machining.  It would be nice if they could clarify the "rules of confinement" so maybe seeing the logic it would make more sense.

This has been reported and the only workaround I have found is to use a sketch that goes past the stock for your geometry

@jeff.walters how do you select the sketch geometry in a turning profile?  I don't see where I can select any geometry at all.  The only thing on the geometry tab is confinement and rest machining.

sorry ment to say edit the model sketch to extend the face (remove the chamfer). I know its not the best but will work.

@jeff.walters thanks for clarifying, but this was not a native Fusion file.

Why doesn't ADSK put out some kind of document or turotial on the rules for confinement and when the tool can violate it and when it can't.  There does not seem to be much consistancy with it.  Probably my lack of understanding, but like in the situation you say you have reported it, so am I to assume it is a bug and will be fixed?

It feels like at times ADSK developers are not really sure how they want to handle it themselves and there for keep quiet about it.
