That's probably not the issue with failure to produce an additive path. All that's telling you is that you've got the new setup sheet turned on in preferences. Can you share your file?

Of course, i figured it would be some thing i had done incorrectly,

thou i did try a different file and tried using on of the generic printer profiles, just to see if i could get any thing out, bu to no avail

here is the file i have tried to print

also i looked long and hard in preferences for the setup sheet option and cannot find it anywhere, i would love to try disabling that to see if would help.

fyi the setup sheets work with CAM milling toolpaths

Hmm....

Right clicking on your operation "Additive Toolpath" and selecting "Generate" gave me an additive toolpath

No, I can't find anything about Setup Sheets either in the Preferences and Preview Features section either. I'll have to ask about that.....

I had the same error, asked google, which led me here.

In the end, it looks like I set up my custom printer wrong.  I didn't get this error when I used the default Prusa printer, only when I tried my custom printer (which is a wanhao i3 clone anyway).  I didn't see the "enable raft" checkbox when I was setting up my printer, and I don't like rafts, so I instead set raft base layers, interface layers, and surface layers, to 0.  I eventually changed these back to their default values and just made sure the raft checkbox was disabled.  And bam, able to create my toolpath.

So while the error seemingly has nothing to do with your printer, I'd suggest trying a stock printer profile or using whatever default values you may have changed.

I had the same problem.

After many browsing to find where the problem is, all I had to do is going to the setup (the first NC program where you start a new tool path)  I right click the setup, edit and then clicked edit under the machine tap and from there I chose carbide3d and the toolpath is working. It gave me a headache to find the solution, but it worked.
