Hi,
I'm sure this is really simple but a few hours of searching and youtube and I'm still none the wiser !
Basically I want to mill a piece on two sides, so I'm planning to use three holes to index it the stock when I flip it.
The holes are not in the actual piece, but I don't think that's a problem - I added three 3.2mm cylinders to the design and made 3mm holes through them (is that a sensible way to do this in Fusion 360 ?).
All looks OK in design and manufacture:
However when I try to create a new drilling operation I get three warnings and can't generate the toolpath:
Warning: Plunge feedrate is larger than supported for this machine.
Warning: Entry feedrate is larger than supported for this machine.
Warning: Exit feedrate is larger than supported for this machine.
Feature flags: setup-sheet-viewer
Warning: No holes to drill.
I assume they're saying that there's a configuration for the custom machine I'm using (my home-made one :)) where the various feed rates are lower than the ones for the tool I've selected, but I can't find these ! Also, I've set the feed rates on the tool to 1mm/min and still get the warnings, so I'm guessing these machine feed rates are probably zero.
I don't really understand why my milling toolpaths all seem fine though - is there something special about drilling ?
I've attached the f3d file in case it helps.
Cheers,
David
