Trouble generating 2D contour for profile of knife blank

I've Been working through this on a few designs. I'm new to CAM and quite surprisingly I've generated satisfactory paths (although untested) for the 3D machining of the bevel contour, but I can't seem to get Fusion to undertake the simple task of profiling the knife from stock. I want to cut around the entire profile but the toolpaths keep selecting all kinds of wacky geometry.

I don't know if I have to go back and address this in the model... or I can fix it in the CAM. Any help greatly appreciated.

Because of the large amount ot 3D features on the part, it may seem quite confusing and nonsensical.

Take a look at this screencast I made for someone quite a while ago. The video was to show how you could have features at widely different heights and still produce something that actually worked, for 2D contour

If that doesn't work, you could always Project to a plane and use that new sketch.

You also have a flaw in the model that is making it difficult to select what you need. Towards the tip, one of the seams actually has a gap in it

If your selection is jumping around the chamfers, primaries, etc just click the outermost profile. You'll get a blue selection, hover over that and it will turn red, then click one of the red lines and a small toolbar will pop up. Select open contour in there, then go around and select your desired edges for your profile. Doesn't matter if there are chamfers, fillets, primaries, swedges, etc just select what you want then click the + on that little toolbar. Make sure you hit the + or your selection won't be saved.
