Toolpath for Flexicam

Hello everybody.

 

I have design plywood bench in Fusion 360.

BenchBench

And I started manufacturing on Flexicam CNC router. There is a huge problem: at some moments router makes stush sounds (Check video pls in attachments).

 

But when I do the same milling via ArtCam - there is no any problems.

 

It seems like problem in GCode, which Fusion generates.

P.S. I have used last version of Flexicam postprocessor from official site (https://cam.autodesk.com/hsmposts).

Also we checked all mechanical parts of router - there is no problems at all.

 

Any ideas where is a problem?

Thanks for posting your question to the Fusion 360 CAM board. 

 

Is there a specific operation that is giving you problems or is it all of the operations that you've programmed?

 

Also, would you be able to upload your video again or share it in another way? I'm receiving the message "An error occurred. Please try again." after the video attempts to load.

Hello there!

I apologize for the delay in answering.
When we used Flexicam to mill my bench - wedging appeared on 2D contour strategy, furthermore when the feed rate increases, it becomes stronger.
Firstly we cut with 3 flute mill 10mm shaft, feed 100 mm/s (router easily cut on that rates - when we run the same vectors via ArtCam),
and that sound from video appears. Then we tried to decrease rates and wedgings appeared but at other moment. After that me recalculated strategies for 6mm mill (and super safity rates 15000rpm 30/30 rates), wedgings
still remained.

Few days ago I tried to mill aluminum logo on Roland MDX-540. I used scallop, 2D contour, 3D contour. When code is running router doing some weird things (match screen shot and video below).
Furthermore in that program when I changed 1/16mm to 2mm mill wedgings disappeared at all, and all program cut smoothly.

Thank you for your reply and for uploading the videos. I now have a much better understanding of the noises that you're experiencing. I have a couple of questions/suggestions for you.

 

1. Which post processor are you using?

2. Are you using the same post for both machines?

 

3. Try changing the High Feedrate Mapping in the post processor dialog and testing this behavior again.

It sounds like the machine is working against itself or perhaps it is exceeding it's high feed rate or rapid feed rate.
