tool wont follow contour

Morning folks. Been working on this contour. i changed the tool the best i could after i found one to work for the application. I posted a PDF of what the tool will look like. i used the round geometry and  At one point it worked . now it wont. i tried a different tool that doesnt really work for the application but it did make the path. a 35 degree diamond tool is in the tool list to tty and see what i am refering to. it catches all the ribs. it is the round insert in there now that is the problem. it will not machine the ribs on the straight wall. Im guessing something with the tool i selected or the way i am defining it.  Also a problem with the the tool crossing the rotary axis.

Thanks for posting! I found that I was able to use a 35 degree diamond tool working, but could not get the round insert to hit the grooves. I have attached the file with the diamond tool to this forum thread for your reference - hopefully this may help you work around this problem behavior!

For this toolpath, I believe using a grooving toolpath with the "Sideways with partial stepdown" Grooving Pattern would be the recommended toolpath, given your tool and desired cut. I have also included this toolpath in the attached file. I believe the tool (Tool #8) I created is relatively close to your desired tool, but please check it out and make any changes to that tool and toolpath that you need.

thanx for looking. everyone else ran. I was able to get the 35' diamond to work also, not much room for error with that tool and the tool doesnt exixt so there is nothing to buy and use.something would have to be purchased and modified.  there are however carbide  radius tools  that would have worked. funny thing is at one ppoint using the round geometry fusion made the path. i cant find where that version  is because when fusion is offline it acts rather strange and saving a file when it is is on line creates a new version. I have files that have so many versions its rediculous. I have not found another way to save the file without creating a version.

Thanks for the response - I'm happy to help! There is not currently a way to save a file to the cloud/Data Panel without creating a new version in Fusion. With that said, using comments to organize the versioning of your files is important to consider!

When you save a file (using the "Save" command) while working offline, this will add a new version of the file to your upload queue, which will create a new version of the file in your data panel when you are back online. If you save the design multiple times while working offline, you will only see the most recent state of the file added to your Data Panel as a new version when you go back online - the "versions" created when you saved offline are not maintained, but the final state of the model from the offline period will be uploaded to the cloud as a new version. You will see the version from offline mode will automatically include an "Updated from Offline Mode" comment:
