Tool orientation issues

I am trying to rotated the tool 90 degrees to machine into the side of a piece of stock. Our CNC machine is capable of 5 axis although I have never used Fusion 360 to do this.

 

I was able to create a program that looks like it works without errors or warnings, but when I send the file to the machine and view it on the machine, it shows that the tool is underneath the stock instead of above it, like the whole operation is flipped upside down. I played around with the tool orientation as well as the stock orientation but I keep getting the same result.

I added a screenshot from what the machine sees as opposed to what I see in Fusion 360. I'll also attach the Fusion 360 file if anyone wants to check it out.

 

I know it's probably something simple but I can't figure this out out. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The enclosed file does not include a machine model, so if I try posting your program, it won't generate because of a lack of defined machine. I don't see anything wrong with your program though.

Try flipping your "Y" axis direction to start.

I have flipped the Y axis to be pointing up and I get the exact same result, which is weird

hmm that's strange. The program look good on Fusion 360 but then it's like it flips upside down when it's on the machine.

This is a thing with the way TPAcad loads into face 5. They flip the orientation on that face, if you try to do a cutter compensation on that face the same thing happens aswell, instead of going inside of the cut, the cut goes outside.

 

So nothing wrong with Fusion, its TPAcad that is a weird program.

 

Just need to change the cutter compensation whenever working in Face 5. You can probably go into the PP to fix this, but I´ve never arsed myself with trying.

Actually, looking at it again, my thinking doesnt line up.

I used the official PP from Autodesk since there was no PP attached to your machine setup. Is this the one you use aswell or do you have a custom one?

 

The only thing I had to do to get it to work was to change the tool from a "Slot mill" (As these are treated as sawblades in the official PP) to a normal flat end mill.

But that posted correctly with cutter compensation to the right since that is calculated inside of Fusion.
