tool library is missing

Hi

I was having a few problems with my computer soi i decided to uninstall the Fusion360 and some other programs, when i did a new install of Fusion360 on my computer i discover that my tool library isn´t there anymore.

i thought that the library where on the cloud and would appears as soon as i was logged in.


I guess i made a mistake there.

Hi -

Fusion 360 supports both local libraries and cloud libraries. So what you would see depends on which section your libraries were in. If they were in "Cloud", then they should show up again -- provided that you have tool libraries enabled.

If they were local, those really should show up too, but it's possible that something's not in the "index" file that's used to specify what libraries exist.

What platform are you on? Windows? Mac? With that, I can guide you to where to look for files.

Cant remember where i have it i dont think i reflect on that.

when i remove my program i removed all maps with autodesk in the directory name.

maybe i have the library on my computer and now i have removed it.

Forgot to tell you , i run windows 7,  where is the tool library located?

On Windows, the tool library files are on disk, at:

  Local libraries (single machine): %appdata%\Autodesk\CAM360\libraries\local

  Cloud libraries (local cache): %localappData%\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360\<userid>\W.login\M\<notsurewhatthisis>\CAMTools

Hope you found your local tool library. I would cry if I lost mine.

When I moved my tools to the cloud, I had to enable cloud libraries in Preference, General, CAM, Enable Cloud Libraries and I then exported my local libraries and imported them to the cloud. You can also create a new cloud library and copy/paste the tools into it from sample and/or local libraries. 

I don't think the local libraries and posts automatically sync to the cloud. It would be nice if they did.

I found mine here:

C:\Users\[YOUR USER]\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\CAM360\libraries\Local

a bit of a different spot. I basically searched the C drive for "CAM360" and I found it pretty quick.
