Thread milling general questions

Getting ready to thread mill 3/4-10 external 2A threads and have a couple of quick questions. Done tons of thread milling but first go with Fusion.

1. Use of helical leads seems to be a no no unless increasing the horizontal lead out past the default? Checking helical leads leaves gouge marks at least in simulation.

2. Thread overlap? Not seeing anywhere to add an additional .050" or so overlap to the tool path to prevent cusps from tool pressure. Tool path check shows X/Y start and end at the exact same place.

3. Pitch diameter offset? Really? How about simple drop downs to describe the thread, 3/4-10 2A and done.

1) I've not had issue with helical leads, but it has been a while since I've done external threading. Could you share your part or post up a picture?

2)If you are using a Full Form threadmill, you can get it to more than one revolution by decreasing the length of the threadmill, thus forcing it to travel further.

3) Yeah, I hear ya.
