SVG causing Slow cam while selcting geometry

I have run myself into quite a pickle, I imported this logo to create some machined aluminum logos, once the SVG was setup how I wanted I started machining the backside of a few of these logos.

Now i must say Ive had some issues with selecting and working with SVG's on the model side before which prevented me from starting to cut but this time the model side handled the SVG quite well so I began cutting the part.

Now that ive got 1/2 way thru I flipped the part over to run opp 2, on the top side I'm experiencing very laggy slow cam when trying to select the contours and geometry. Oh no!

normally id cam the whole part out top and bottom before beginning although this part I started running cam tool by tool, while the machine was running tool one id program out tool two and go thru the part in this manner step by step posting files to the machine thru my network.

So long story short I have a bunch of pieces of aluminum cut on the backside for this logo and now I cant seem to get the cam on the top half

Does anyone know a solution - ive never run into fusion having issues in cam before...

Ive attached the project below.

Well this is your problem right here:

I'll make a screencast shortly of how to work around this issue as the SVG seems to have imparted some odd geometry.

Outstanding thanks so much for the info, but how are you getting the little open/select add to contours buttons to come up?

Click the chain a second time and it will pop up. This is true of any chain, open or closed. The CAM just does its best to guess what you want so there are lots of times it has to be corrected.
