Simulation: Part/Stock is shown as RED in Comparison

Hello, I have a model body for the stock and a model body for the part. In simulation, it is showing the part as RED under Comparison. It should be GREEN. Why? It keeps happening. Have never had this happen before. Thank you! Is this a bug or are my settings wrong from an update not maintaining normal settings?

My bet is your model selection shows something like CAM and not Body 1. Double check whats selected there.

Nope, it is a body selected as stock, and a body selected as model in these instances.

I went back through my other files, this is happening on all of my manufacturing files where I have the stock as a BODY and the Model as a separate body.

You probably accidentally changed this setting:

its easy to do if you scroll down the preferences with your mouse and the pointer lands on a drop down it will also scroll through those options which is a bit silly

without uploading a file/videos/photos, it'll just a your word against mine sort of thing *shrug*

Hello, Thank you, that setting was on Red below. I never change my settings but they got messed up after the last update.

ONE issue though -- it is showing blue instead of green where the stock and part are the same size. I feel that in the past it was GREEN. ???

Can’t share proprietary files. But you could actually replicate this by copying & pasting a body and changing or deleting a feature and then setting the original as stock and the modified as part. I do a lot of part modification work where the stock is one part body and the model is another body.

Check the values here in simulation, if the tolerance is too large it may not show up as green or if you have a value in leftover stock

It was leftover stock. I really don’t like when all the settings change after an update. Especially when there are so many updates. Thank you for your help!

Sorry I marked this as a solution, I meant to reply. I think this is a bug because I want Red Below and after changing it to the other option it started working, but I still need Red Below so I changed it back. I think this is a bug.

I have removed the erroneous accepted solution.

It may be a Bug you are experiencing but I highly doubt it.

I also use stock from body extensively and have had no issues with the latest updates.

I understand you cant share a file publicly but without one its hard to diagnose.
