Setup sheet from tool library

Hello,

I have a set of parts to be machined together. I have a tool library with each tool in the magazine. Each file does not use every tool, but I want to set them up all at the same time. Is there a way to output a setup sheet from the tool library so that I can setup all of the tooling information in one setup sheet.

Thanks in advance

Hi @NManiscalcoVEZ7Z ,

There's not a specific setup sheet feature like you're describing, no.
You could export the library as a CSV and customize the column view to fit your needs, and then use or print that spreadsheet. Another option is to customize the table view so it's showing the columns you're interested in, and then take a screenshot of that and use as a makeshift setup sheet.

What kinds of information are you looking for on the setup sheet to be able to set up your tools? Is there anything critical missing from the above methods (other than a user interface)? Would you want this setup sheet to pull from a single library?

Thank you @martha.deans,

I ended up taking a screenshot as you suggested. This method works in this case, but there are many limitations. For example, if I had any more tools or needed any more information it would have required multiple screenshots.

Ideally I would like to output a file from a tool library that contains the same tooling information as a typical setup sheet. Simply outputting that library as a setup sheet is all I need, but there could be much improved for the setup sheet customization. I have always found the setup sheet customization in fusion to be lackluster. I know that it is possible to use a custom post to create custom setup sheets, but that is a lot of extra work and disables the functionality of the setup sheet button. For this project I ended up having 25 separate programs across 11 files, each with their own setup sheet for the operation, but sharing a common tool library. A huge time saver would be to be able to edit the name of the setup sheet file in the same way that the post processor dialog was updated to more easily change the file name.
