Retract height question

Hi
I have a bit of a strange problem and can't find out why it happens.
My tools are in the Fusion360 tool library and the tool length is in the tool length table of my CNC controller software (linuxcnc).
So far everything is working fine.
I machine a part that has a height of 20mm.
After machining the tolerances are spot on. 20mm=20mm
But when the tool retracts it sometimes hits the wall of the part.
Z should go up, once it's up it should move in X and Y direction to the next spot.
But instead it goes up and in the last part of the Z movement it already starts to move in the X and Y direction where it sometimes hits the part with the tip of the endmill/drill.
Could this be Fusion360 related?
I can increase the retract height by a couple of mm, but that's a workaround.
