problems with Clearance height and UGS

Thank you I've been able to setup to functions Bore and pocket. But now I'm running into problems with the actual cutting. I have placed a 1/4" dowel with a spring to be used as the tip of the cutter. I have my spoil board clamped down. I bring the cutter to zero that was selected in setup. I load the g code. Press send and it does not act like the program parameters I set in Clearance height. My setting are:

Clearance Height =2.00"

Retract Height  = 2.00"

Top Height = .750"

Bottom Height is = .700"

When I load the program into UGC and hit send the router does not retract to 2.00" It stays where it is till it gets to its position then the cutter (if I had one attached) gets buried into the top of the spoil board.

Are my setting all wrong? I have included my file for review.

Thank you very much for any input.

Can you post the fusion model with the toolpaths you have set. To do this Go to File -> Export and save as a .F3D Archive File and attach it to your next post.

See this article for how to export a F3Dz file https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-t...

The first thing the WCS is not set this is a do it thing.

fffffffffffffffffffffffffff.pngfd

Your bottom hight, change it to selected and select the bottom of the model if you want it to cut all the way through the model, if not set it to the top of the model and bring it down to the hight you want it to cut to.

This is so when you look at the Gcode and you see a - move more than what you know you set there is something wrong.

Other than that there is nothing really wrong with you model or setup.

Your hight setting is fine, as long as it is above the model and any work holding it is fine.

The big question do you home the machine so the Z is near the top of its travel ??????.

The post should have a G28 or G53 what makes it goto the Z-axis home position before it starts to cut.
