Problem with tool path

Guys I having some issues,

I generated the attached tool path using the UCCNC post. I have a feeling that at some points it is producing lines instead of arcs. I noticed that at some locations my machine will just act at if in exact mode (I have change the setting to not engage EM >5 dg. So I am sure it is the tool path.

I noticed the stop and go (which makes the machine shake) is consistent with the location of the point grouped together. When using Mach3 from RhinoCan with similar parts I have never seen this happen unless the path was made up of all line and not arcs of if I accidentally out the machine in EM.

Here is a screen shot from UCCNC where it shows the path it made up of little lines...  (G1) - could this explain the stop and go?

Autodesk ?

Same tool path Generated with RhinoCAM for your reference.

This one actually runs smoothly

Thanks in advance,

@crullier what toolpath are you using? have you tried enabling the "Smoothing" option?

The smoothing tolerance will allow a series of lines to be converted into an arc if the lines fit within the tolerance. AKA arc filtering. The smoothing tolerance must be larger than the regular tolerance to work properly.

Where is this option? @cj.abraham

under passes for the 2D Pocket opt. all I see is "Smoothing Deviation"  0.0004 in

Can someone please point out what the points signify?

@cj.abraham  I found smoothing, it was not enabled. It does have a default value of 0.0001 in.

meaning If my Smoothing deviation is set to 0.0004, the took path can deviate up to 0.0005 in.

Just wanted to come back and add, that is does not fix the issue and it actually added more points to the paths overall

Could you please attach your Fusion design file?

Smoothing only works if the arcs can fit onto a plane. You might be using a toolpath where the passes are not constant Z and therefore cannot be made into arcs.
